Mechanism of Action
NAD+ serves as a key electron carrier in mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation and is a required substrate for sirtuins (SIRT1–SIRT7), PARPs, and CD38. Declining NAD+ levels are implicated in aging, and supplementation restores mitochondrial function and activates SIRT1-mediated gene silencing. NAD+ also regulates circadian rhythm through CLOCK/BMAL1 pathways.
